From a backyard passion to a BBQ sensation, REDS was born out of a love for fire, flavour, and the perfect cook, bringing people together one smoky bite at a time.

Hi, my name is Shane. I’m the owner of Reds Brisket Pit! It all started in 2016 when I was spit-roasting whole pigs and BBQ’ing Lobsters for our family BBQs. I then found an interest in the smoking process. So, I bought my 1st Komodo Joe in 2020, which opened up many avenues of BBQing. My interest became a passionate hobby, and I would be BBQing weekly. We decided to do some pop-ups for friends and family to try a selection of smoked meats and sides. The feedback was terrific, so I bought my 2nd Komodo Joe. We opened up our pop ups to the general public and the response was amazing, we was selling out every time. I decided I needed a more significant smoker to keep up with demand. That’s when I purchased the BM S/5 reverse flow offset smoker. This was a game-changer. Weighing in at just under a ton. It can hold a massive 25 6kg Boston butts or 25 7.5kg Briskets. We now can cater for the masses. We’ve done some festivals and events and wish to have our establishment in the future.
